02How it works
How to print slab art at home.
Twenty minutes and a steady hand. Take your time on the card window: it’s the edge everyone looks at.

Print at 100%
Print the PDF at actual size on A4 photo paper. Turn off “fit to page” and any borderless scaling.

Check the scale
Measure the 50 mm ruler on the sheet. If it isn’t exactly 50 mm, fix the print scale before you cut anything.

Trim the panel
Cut along the crop marks with a steel ruler and a sharp knife, then round the four corners.

Cut the windows
Cut out the white label and card windows. Score lightly first, then cut through in a second pass.

Fit it
Lay the panel face down in your empty case, then press your slab in behind it, label at the top.
You’ll need
- A4 lustre or satin photo paper, 250 to 300 gsm
- An inkjet printer, or a local photo lab
- A steel ruler, a sharp craft knife and a cutting mat
- Optional: a corner rounder of about 3.5 mm
- A case that holds a PSA standard slab with a sheet of paper on its face

Questions
What is a slab art print file?
A print-ready A4 PDF of your slab art at true size, with crop marks and the label and card windows marked. You print it, trim it and fit it in your case.
What paper should I use?
A lustre or satin photo paper of 250 to 300 gsm looks closest to our printed inserts. Glossy paper works too, but shows more glare under shelf lights.
Can I have it printed at a print shop?
Yes. Ask for A4 at 100% scale on photo paper, with no fitting to the page, and check the 50 mm ruler before you cut.
Which slabs does the file fit?
PSA standard slabs. The card window is cut to your game’s card size, so a Yu-Gi-Oh! card is framed as tightly as a Pokémon card. See trading card sizes.
When do I get it?
